Congratulations to all of our Fifth Graders on the successful completion of their Spring Music Concert! Many thanks to the Music Department at Concordia University for graciously allowing us to use their performance space. The students sounded wonderful and it was lovely to have everyone under the same roof as we prepare to send these young people off to middle school!

Young Fives: We are highlighting the alphabet as we enter the last few weeks of school! This week we sang the alphabet song, made our own alphabet song, read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom with glockenspiels, and played a game called "Alphabet Soup." We also talked about the different kinds of voices that we have: whispering, speaking, singing, and shouting. You can guess which one is our favorite. :) We took turns conducting each other and had lots of laughs! Kindergarten: This week, we tied in some academics to our lessons: we talked about coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) and played a penny game. Check out the video below of one of our classes playing "Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck!" with different tempos. We also talked about the months of the year and tried to jump when it was our birth month! Did your kiddo jump in the right place? :)
More coming soon!
